PURPOSE:To make possible the printing of the large image equal to the size of the image obtained from printing by forming a desired image through combination of several of identical images printed by the printer. CONSTITUTION:The bar code 2, the post code 3 and the address 4 for instance are separately printed on address tab 1 or the like attached to the top of the groups of mail along with the name 5 of post office involved. In this case, the following printing method is employed for the bar code 2 and the like. For example, a character 11, is printed with the wire dot head. Likewise, the character 11, is printed in plurality by shifting the platen horizontally by a specified amount and then, the same printing is performed as in the prceding line by turning the platen by a specified amount.
