PURPOSE:To maintain a gap always constant by forming the shape of the section spacing from rotators out of the faces shifting from the peripheral face of gap maintaining bodies to the end face into a continuous curved face. CONSTITUTION:The device has a toner drum 1 which rotates by carrying a particle toner uniformly and a recording electrode disposed by leaving a predetermined small gap (a) to the outside peripheral face of this drum 1, and the signal corresponding to picture and writing information is applied on this recording electrode 2 to record an image on a recording sheet 3 passing in this gap. The gap maintaining devices 5 provided on the right and left in this direct recording apparatus are constituted by brackets 7 supported on both end faces of the recording electrode 2 by means of screws 6 and rotators 10 supported to the brackets 7 by means of shafts 8. The peripheral face 11 of each rotator 10 is constituted to a continuously curved face as it goes nearer to the end face. The peripheral faces 11 of the rotators 10 press- contact the drum 1 and rotate on the drum peripheral face 4 as the drum 1 rotates. As a result, the gap between the drum 1 and the recording electrode 2 is maintained constant. |
