PURPOSE:To work materials of different sizes with the same press efficiently by disposing racks moving reciprocatively in cooperation with the press, pinions meshing with said racks, and gears, as specified and constituting these in such a manner that the inside width of feed bars is adjustable by a motor. CONSTITUTION:Racks 4 moving cooperatively with the press and pinions fixed to the shaft, not shown, held rotatably to a clamp unit box 2 and meshed with racks 4 and a rotating member held rotatably to said shaft are disposed. These are so constituted that the inside width of feed bars 1, 1' may be adjusted steplessly by way of worm wheels 23 by driving a motor 25, to make possible handling of materials of different sizes with the same press, and make the work fast and easy. When adapted to an automated transfer press, this device achieves the improvement in productivity. |
