The initiator has a rectangular housing designed for firm fastening and is connectable to an electric line. It contains an electric measuring head with an oscillator, an evaluator portion and a cable aperture. The housing is divided into a fixed lower part with the cable aperture, and a releasable upper part containing the measuring head and the evaluator part. In the region of the housing long centre axis the lower part has threaded bores, while the upper part has through bores, aligned with those in the lower part. All the bores are separate from, and independent of fastening element for securing the housing on a base. A set of three bores are provided, one lies in the region of the cable aperture facing front side, the other two being near the front side facing the measuring head. The through bores may contain screws in non-releasable arrangement.
