摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide precise processing and save energy in processing by holding load cells pinched between a bed and a chuck to grip a work to be processed, sensing the repulsive force during machining through electric charges, converting into voltage and interlocking with a numerical control device. CONSTITUTION:A steel pipe as work to be processed W is gripped by pawls of a rigid chuck 13 by actuating a cylinder device, and is located roughly. A column 2 placed on a bed 1 is advanced by a Z-axis feeding motor 3, and a cutter head 7 gripped by a head clamping chuck 6 of spindle 4 is put in rotation. The repulsive force to machining to be generated when the outside surface of the work W is processed, is sensed in the form of electric charges by load cells 15, 15' pinched between the rigid chuck 13 and bed 1, wherein the load cell 15 serves for the Z direction and the one 15' for the rotational direction. The electric charges are converted into voltage change to serve monitoring of the machining condition, and the voltage change is judged to a certain extent and interlocked with a numerical control device to accomplish automatic processing.</p>
