<p>PURPOSE:To attain a superior transfer on paper of a wide range from soft to hard one by automatically changing the angle of the guide member for feeding transfer paper into transfer part depending upon the rigidity of the transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:An upper guide plate 3 and a guide member 4 which guide a transfer member 7 to a transfer position are provided. The member 4 is mounted turnably to a fulcrum 5 and its bottom end part is connected by a spring 6 and is energized to move to the clockinse direction. In the case of thin paper, the member 4 is pulled up to a stopper 10 by a spring 6 to bring the paper close perpendicularly to the plane of an image carrier 1. For stiff and hard paper, the member 4 oscillates counterclockwise against the spring 6 as shown in the figure to bring its angle closer to the tangent direction of the image carrier 1, thereby obviating exertion of undue force upon the paper. Thereby, the sharp transfer may be done onto from soft to hard paper.</p> |
