In a method and an apparatus for determination of a process liquid's density, two pressure sensors 10 arranged at a vertical distance from each other are brought into pressure-transmitting contact with the process liquid and connected to a common pressure differential measuring device or transducer 13 by means of pressure-transmitting lines 12. The temperature of the transducer and possibly also that of the adjoining parts of the pressure-transmitting lines is controlled and maintained basically constant, while the parts 17 of the lines 12 adjoining the pressure sensors 10 take on the temperature of the process liquid. The intermediate parts 16 of the lines are arranged symmetrically about a horizontal line and preferably in a common horizontal plane to avoid measurement error. <IMAGE>
