<p>To produce a printed laminate, such as a floor covering, a resilient base layer and a wear layer are bonded together under the action of heat and at the same time a printed transfer sheet, by virtue of the said heat, releases its printed pattern on to the upper surface of the wear sheet. A release layer between the transfer sheet surface and the printed pattern ensures the ready release of the printing ink and prevents the transfer sheet from bonding to the wear sheet.</p> |
