DOUBLE-ACTING LATCH FOR HINGED PLASTIC BOX

Double-acting latch for a hinged plastic box (10) having container (12) and cover (14) parts wherein a flexible plastic slide (22) fits around the shoulders (24, 26) of a T-shaped rail (18) projecting from one of said parts. A tab (36) projecting from the other of said parts fits into a notch in the rail, after which the slide is moved along the rail to latch the parts together. A detent on the slide then is snapped into place against the end of the rail to provide second latching action.
