PURPOSE:To provide a device having a small size and an increased capability, which facilities both easy operations and environmental improvement, by rotating a cathode-ray tube fixed on a table whereby rotating a tool dish, on which diamond pallets are planted, while the same is being pressed on the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A cathode-ray tube 2 is fixed on a turn table 1 with fixtures 3, and the turn table 1 is rotated while coolant is being fed through a feeding passage 12 and a feeding pipe 13 wherein the lapping surface of a tool dish 6 is rotated while being obliquely pressed. Pallets 9 where diamond abrasive grains are fixedly formed with metal powder and the like are anchored onto a wire netting 10 and the like so as to stuck thereto by way of a sponge cushion member 11. Accordingly, the surface of the cathode-ray tube 2 is lapped by the pallets 9 which are uniformly pressed by the elasticity of the cushion member 11, through relative speed and cross movement against the tool side 6 whereby providing a device having a small size and an increased capability, which facilitates both easy operations and environmental improvement.
