An endless conveyor belt is mounted on one end of the vessel. It is arranged to dip beneath the water and also to be able to be swung from side to side of the ship. The material which is removed from the water passes up the conveyor to collection vessels. There are ejectors which receive water from a pump and suck contaminated water towards the conveyor so that the contaminants are sucked onto the conveyor. |
