The process entails adding thrombin to a solution which contains prothrombin and at least one other coagulation factor and a buffer, allowing the thrombin to act, removing the thrombin, and isolating the coagulation factor. A coagulation factor preparation produced in this way can be used for the therapy of coagulation disorders.
