Flame cutting machine for continuously cast billets - where oscillating pendulum burners cut billet transversely

The billet travels along a roller track, and may have a round, square, or rectangular cross-section; in the last case, it stands on edge on the track. Above the track is a mobile flame cutting machine travelling together with the billet, and fitted with a traverse provided with pivots for one or more burners. The spaces between the rollers forming the roller track are designed so the rollers are not exposed to the burner flames. Tbe pivot mountings for tbe burners are pref. high above the track so the jets of flame can meet at the middle of the billet. Used e.g. for cutting billets up to 800 mm wide.
