<p>The contact printing frame pressure plate has an elastic structure with sealing lips (5) to press the negative and copy sheets together onto the glass plate, and with a vacuum attachment to ensure a high resolution print. The surface of the elastic plate is contoured with a groove pattern to spread the vacuum force evenly over the print. The edge of the pressure plate has a fold (7) to aid the relative movement of plate to copy sheet. The grooves are in a rectangular grid or in any regular pattern, with the surface of the plate coated with a low friction coating such as a silicone or a 'Teflon' (RTM) type of plastic.</p> |
