PURPOSE:To obtain in high yields the titled substance important as a reactive dye, fluorescent whitening agent, or its intermediate, by reacting cyanuric chloride with an amine compound in a water-insoluble organic solvent optionally containing water in the presence of a phase-transferring catalyst. CONSTITUTION:In the preparation of the titled substance through the reaction of cyanuric chloride and an amine compound, the reaction is carried out in a water- insoluble organic solvent opionally containing water in the presence of a phase- transferring catalyst. Benzene, toluene, carbontetrachloride, etc. may be cited as the water-insoluble organic solvent and its amount is 3-20 times that of cyanuric chloride. Triethylbenxyl ammonuim chloride, etc. may be cited at the phase-transferring catalyst and its amount is 0.01-5wt% based on cyanuric chloride. The reaction temperature is 0-30 deg.C and an oxidizer, e.g., sodium carbonate is preferably added. EFFECT:The conversion improves by not more than 5%. |
