PURPOSE:To apply an analog chronograph watch to a wrist watch by reducing electric power consumption by displaying measured digits less than one second through the specific operation of an external operation member of a specific operation member at need. CONSTITUTION:When a user tries to know a value less than one second, pushing 1/100-second display button 12 puts control circuit 24 into operation to stop the chronograph second hand and then to reset it temporarily for display; and then a command to select a signal of 64Hz, etc., by selecting circuit 19 is sent from circuit 24 2-3 seconds later and pulses are counted by counters 22 and 39, thereby supplying the signal of 64Hz, etc., until coincidence detecting circuit 38 detects a coincidence between the 1/100-second count contents of counters 37 and 39. Once the coincidence is detected, circuit 24 commands circuit 19 not to select any signal and at this point in time, the chronograph second hand is stopped to display the conents of counter 37. Consequently, the analog chronograph can be applied to a wrist watch. |
