PURPOSE:To enable the title method to weld even between sheathed pipes which are superior in an airtight property also and different in their diameters by a method wherein flange parts are formed on end parts of the sheathed pipe and the sheathed pipes are connected with each other through heat welding of the flange parts. CONSTITUTION:The vicinities of connecting end parts of two sheathed pipes 3 are held respectively by a stationary and movable clamps 23, 24 so that their connecting end parts face on each other and heating jig 1 is arranged on the connecting end part pipe of the sheathed pipe 3. Then the heating jig 1 is heated by a heater 13, the movable clamp 24 is moved, the connecting end parts of the right and left sheathed pipes 3 are melted thermally by pressing them against the tilting parts 11 and a flange part 31 is formed by a slope of the tilting part 11. Then the movable clamp 24 is moved, both sheathed pipes are widened to the right and left, the heating jig 1 is removed, the movable clamp 24 is moved again, the connecting end parts of both the sheathed pipes 3 are pressed against each other horizontally, the connecting end parts of the sheathed pipes 3 are welded unitarily and strong welded part 32 is formed. |
