<p>Cutters are mounted on a rotor revolving in a housing, on a machine for cutting wood into chips, deriving power from an outside such as a tractor. The rotor has spaced disc-type members (12) secured on a shaft (11), with blower vanes (16) inserted between them. The cut chips enter their intervening space through holes (14), where they engage in circular movement, under the influence of the vanes towards the blow-out opening of the machine. A counter cutter may be fixed on the housing, perpendicular to the direction of rotation of the rotor. Less effort is needed for chip working. 07G21.</p> |
