PURPOSE:To improve dielectric constant and electromechanical coupling coefficient of a 3-component piezoelectric ceramics composition composed of a specific lead alloy, lead titanate and lead zirconate, by substituting a part of Ni in the lead alloy with Fe. CONSTITUTION:The objective piezoelectric ceramics composition is composed mainly of a 3-component solid solution of formula (0.01<X<0.6; 0.32<Y<0.45; 0.1<Z<0.3; 0.01<a<0.1; X+Y+Z=1). The ceramics composition can be produced by weighing oxides of each metal (e.g. PbO, NiO, FeO, NbO2, TiO2 and ZrO2) in amounts to attain a prescribed compositional ratio, mixing the oxides, prebaking the mixture, compression molding the prebaked material and sintering the product at a relatively low temperature (about 1,000-1,100 deg.C). The obtained piezoelectric ceramics composition is suitable as a material for transducer of buzzer, etc. |
