A substructure, with bars, and modular panels mounted on these, with sloped sections on all sides, and with fixing flanges, make up cladding for the external wall of a building. The bars (13) are all vertical, and at panel width intervals, or slightly more. Panels (22) have a fixing flange (27,28) only on the top and bottom sides, one sloped off outwards and the other inwards. The outer flange is secured to the bars by fixing screws (31) and the inner one engages behind a tongue (35) fixed to the bars. The same screws may serve to fix the tongues in position. This is easily mounted, and provides adequate compensation for heat expansion effects.
|
