<p>The fan has an impeller with radial blades (17) between a backplate (12) and a shroud ring (25), which has an outwards turned lip (34) at the impeller eye. An inlet tube (20) terminates just inside it with a divergent section (21). A small gap for recirculating air is left between the edge of the inlet tube and the lip. The diverging section of the inlet tube turns out through an angle (58) not less than 75 deg. The inlet tube ends (22) level with the straight part (25) of the shroud ring. Its end has a diameter not greater than the inside diameter of the shroud ring lip.</p> |
