Circular blanks of sheet metal are supported in a press so that the blank centre is aligned with the centre of the press tool. Blanks (13) of different diameters are accommodated by supporting them on rollers (27)(28) mounted on the ends of two armed levers (26). The mid-points of these levers (26) pivot on pins attached to a vertical slide (16) whilst the lower ends of the levers (26) carry rollers (29) which run over curved guide tracks (32). This mechanism ensures that a blank (13) is always supported at two points which subtend an angle of 90 deg. at the blank centre.
