Transporting and electrode arrangement which is designed to be introduced into the body of a living thing and to transport gases, liquids etc. to and from body tissues and to locally apply an electric potential for treatment of the body tissues. The said arrangement comprises a transporting channel whose envelope 2 is made of a flexible material, the said channel comprising an additional channel which is located therein and whose external diameter is smaller than the internal diameter of the said channel. The said additional channel is made of a flexible material and has a longitudinal extent, at that end intended to be introduced into the said body, which differs from the extent of the said channel in the said direction, so that at least part of the said additional channel's length protrudes beyond the said channel.
