A method serves for making a heating element which has a heating wire (48) wound as a bifilar spiral (14). Such a heating element may be arranged in a part of plastic, which can be welded to a plastic pipe, it being possible to supply power to the radially outer wire ends (44, 46) of the heating wire (48). The intention is that the method can be carried out with little expenditure and the apparatus required for carrying out the method is to permit the heating element to be made in such a way that it is functionally reliable. It is proposed that the heating wire (48) is placed in a bifilar spiral groove (14) in a surface (6) of an injection mould (2), the windings of the heating wire (48) also being arranged at spacings corresponding to the radial spacing of the individual windings of the spiral groove (14). After closing the injection mould (2), plastic material is introduced into preferably radial connecting grooves (8) between the windings of the spiral groove (14), the plastic material at least partially surrounding the heating wire in the region of the connecting grooves (8). …
…
|
