摘要 PURPOSE:To position accurately an ultrasonic beam 21 for a non-destructive test of a target 11. CONSTITUTION:The purpose is attained by an ultrasonic beam sighting device 10 which is equipped with an ultrasonic converter 20 generating an ultrasonic beam 21 having a focus 22 and a central axis 23, a point light source lamp 30 generating a visible light beam 32 having a focus 33 and a central axis 34, and a mirror 31. The focus 33 of the visible light beam is shifted coaxially selectively so that it may align and not align, respectively on the outside and inside of a target 11. The position of the focus 22 of the ultrasonic beam is set by matching the focus 22 of the ultrasonic beam and the focus 33 of the visible light beam with each other so that they coincide with an alignment spot and further by shifting the matched focus 22 of the ultrasonic beam to an object point in the target with the focus 33 of the visible light beam maintained at the alignment spot.
