AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION PROVIDED WITH REVERSE FLOW PREVENTING FEED-BACK OIL PATH

PURPOSE:To always properly hold an oil level even in sudden start and sudden acceleration by disposing a reverse flow preventing means to allow the flow of working oil in the feed-back direction and block the flow in the reverse direction in an oil path for feeding back the working oil supplied to the rear part of a case to the front part. CONSTITUTION:Oil returning through an oil feeding back path on the bottom of a transfer case in running flows to a feeding-back chamber 22 through an opening in a partition wall 20e and a gap between the opening and a valve body 26a tending to always open under the suspending condition with the center of gravity shifted rearward to be promoted by utilizing the step difference before and after the partition wall 20e. Thus, when the reverse flow of oil is generated by the sudden start and sudden acceleration of a vehicle, the oil tends to go over the step difference before and after the partition wall 20e and flow to the rear thereof. Then, the valve body 26a is oscillated by its own inertial force and the pressure of reverse flow of oil to close the opening in the partition wall 20e from the front side so that the reverse flow of the oil is surely blocked.
