A device is provided for efficiently collecting and concentrating the sun's radiant energy, which comprises a semi-tubular concave helix reflector with up to a 360 degree turn or turns in its length, to concentrate the sun's rays on a central collecting core continuously as the sun moves through its solar day without the use of opto-electro-mechanical tracking devices. The central collecting core is disposed within the focal point of the concave helix reflector and a heat exchange medium is piped through the collecting core. The energy transferred to the heat exchange medium may be utilized in a useful manner. Elevation of the device is easily adjustable to seasonal sun elevation position.
