PURPOSE:To obtain a polymer having excellent transparency and rigidity, high stereoregularity and bulk density in high activity, by previously polymerizing an alpha-olefin in the presence of a compound catalyst and then polymerizing the alpha-olefin. CONSTITUTION:0.001-30wt.% based on total polymerization amount of 3- methylbutene-1 or a mixture of 3-methylbutene-1 and >=3C olefin is previously polymerized usually at >=50 deg.C in the presence of a catalyst consisting of (A) a solid catalytic component comprising Mg[e.g. MgCl2 or Mg(OCH3)Cl], Ti[e.g. TiCl4 or Ti(OC4H9)4, a halogen and an electron donative compound (e.g. ethyl acetate or ethyl oleate) as essential components and (B) an organometallic compound (e.g. triethylaluminum) of a metal of group I-III of the periodic table and then >=3C olefin is polymerized along or copolymerized. |
