PURPOSE:To perform stirring of materials by means of fluidization by the dead load of the materials by supporting a stirring tank by a horizontally installed axis rotatably around said axis, wherein the tank has flat end surface of its construction at mutually twisted positions, and the sectional shapes of the construction are varied sequentially. CONSTITUTION:The stirring apparatus has a structure in which both ends 5 and 6 of the stirring tank 7 are of an oval form and their longitudinal axis are mutually twisted by approx. 90 deg.. Thus, the relative position of the inside wall of the stirring tank 7 to the upper surface of the slurry 4 inside is always varied by the rotation of the shaft, the slurry 4 is lifted by the centrifugal force and then falls down by the dead load, or the slurry 4 is moved along the inside wall by the upward movement of the bottom of the left and right ends of the stirring tank 7, whereby the slurry 4 undergoes an effective stirring effect due to a complicated and vigorous horizontal fluidization. Thus, uniform mixing can be attained. |
