PURPOSE:To feed the video signal to the terminal unit by using the subscriber's line and to offer video service with lower cost quickly, by making broad the subscriber's line, placing the picture file to the terminal station and giving and receiving between the center and the terminal station with index signal. CONSTITUTION:When the subscriber calls out the picture center 1 by using the pushphone 9 and requests a picture, the central processing unit 2 forms the index signal corresponding to the information and transfers it to the end office 3. The index signal is processed at the end office processing unit 4, the desired picture signal is read out from the picture file 5 and it is made to a broad band signal and fed to the subscriber's line 12. After putting the broad band signal in the memory in the terminal processing unit 8 once, it is read out, allowing to display it on the television receiver 10 as a still picture. |
