CONTAINER FOR LOOSE MATERIAL IN PARTICULAR HOT COAL

A container for loose material such as hot coal container for use in a coke oven battery has a gas extraction opening on top of the container housing. The gas extraction opening is separate from the hot coal inlet and communicates with the interior of the container through a gas discharge channel, the channel being spaced from the stream of the material as it is filled into the container. The container enables an intensive presettling of the dust contained in the gases, whereby substantial portion of the dust remains within the container.
