PURPOSE:To facilitate an original sheet to be inserted between a drive roller and a ball, by improving a mechanism consisting of a roller having the drive shaft of an original arranging apparatus and a ball or the like not having a rotary shaft for holding the sheet opposite to the roller. CONSTITUTION:Roller 6 of the original arranging apparatus is driven by shaft 7 so as to convey the original sheet in the direction at an acute angle to guide plate 4. Magnetic metal ball 8 is in contact with roller 6 in feeding the sheet, but in a stand-by state, it is lifted with electromagnet 9 to form a clearance larger than the thickness of the sheet between it and roller 6. When the sheet is inserted into the above clearance, detector 10 detects the presence of the sheet, a control mechanism cuts a current to magnet 9, ball 8 drops on roller 6, and the sheet is held between roller 6 and ball 8, while energizing magnet 9 raises ball 8 by magnetic force, thus permitting a clearance to be formed between ball 8 and roller 6, and an air mail sheet or the like to be inserted. |
