A brush-holder for an electrical machine, such as a heavy duty d.c. motors, is integrally cast from a suitable material, preferably aluminium, and has at least one integrally formed cooling fin (7a, 7b) in the region of the carbon brush guide (4a). Such brush- holder is particularly inexpensive and at the same time serves as a heat sink which ensures improved heat dissipation of the relatively high temperature of the brushes. <IMAGE> |
