PURPOSE:To prepare a thermoplastic resin lubricant having a molecular weight within a specific range and giving transparency and external lubricating properties to molded articles, by copolymerizing specific amounts of acrylic acid and a long- chain alkyl acrylate. CONSTITUTION:A monomer mixture containing the main monomer unit consisting of (A) 60-90wt% of one or more monomers selected from (meth)acrylic acid and its 1-2C alkyl esters, and (B) 40-10wt% of one or more (alpha-substituted)acrylic acid esters having an 11-20C alkyl group, is copolymerized to give a copolymer lubricant having an average molecular weight of 5,000-1,000,000. A lubricating resin composition useful for packaging materials, etc. is obtained by adding 0.1- 5pts.wt. of the lubricant to 100pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin (e.g. vinyl chloride resin) and forming the mixture into films, etc. |
