PURPOSE:To discriminate the state of the treated waters and the fluid properties of exhausted gases by preparing a mask centering arround an optical axis in a luminous passage between the detection part of the material to be tested and the light receiving device. CONSTITUTION:The fluid to be tested is made to pass through a fluid circulating duct line 1 of which one part is provided with an inspection part 4 of light transmitting material. The beam from a laser oscillator 5 leads to a mask provided with a plural number of heterodiameter light-permeable holes 71-73 through a molding slit 6. The mask 7 is so formed that the hole selected by a motor 8 is to be arranged on a light passage. The laser beam is irradiated by the fluid 2 of the detection part 4, passes partly absorbed and reflected and scattered, is focused on the lens 9 and the signals in proportion to a luminous quantity are detected by the light receiving element 10. The detected signals are reduced from the irradiated quantity so much as the absorbed quantity of the fluid 2 and the discrimination of the properties is possible by detecting the reflecting and scattering state. |
