Slide change mechanism for an automatic slide projector. A toothed wheel drives the slide magazine either forwards or in reverse, as required, according to the position of a thrust tooth on the slide change operate bar. As the slide change bar (10) is withdrawn, from the projector gate, a hinged thrust tooth (22, 22a) engages the underside peg drive (21a) of the magazine toothed drive wheel (21) and rotates it. The thrust tooth is held in a recessed section of the operate bar (10) between end stops (10d, 10e), with its pointer tip (22b) either fore or aft of the change bar (10).
