Hand pump for liquids - with tubular piston forming pump chamber using standard plastic profiles

A hand pump, specially for use to fill and drain the heat carrying medium in solar heat collector installations, consists of a suction tube with a diaphragm type suction valve in the end, in which a tubular (hollow) piston can be reciprocated by a T-handle at its free end. The piston has at the other end a diaphragm type delivery valve. A connector block around the suction tube, which forms a annulus with the piston, has passages to link the annulus to a medium storage tank. Both the piston, the suction tube and a guide insert in the connector block are made of plastic profiles; the pref. material for the complete connector block is PVC. This pump can be assembled to a large extent from commercially available profiles and eelaborate seals.
