Devices for reflecting light on traffic signs on roads, esp. roadside guideposts, are kept clean by a system involving use of removable transparent foil. Use is made of a stack (8) of transparent foil leaves (9,10,11) coated with adhesive on the rear, covering reflecting surface (5). The foil leaves may be fitted with removal strips which can be gripped separately, pref. protruding in sequence at the bottom edge of the stack. With the reflector set back in a housing (4), room can be provided for the stack in front of it, reflector and housing being pref. part of a replaceable unit mounted on the past. The device is tough enough to stand up to severe outdoor conditions, and easily handled. |
