BURNER FOR GASIFICATION OF PULVERULENT FUEL

Process and burner for preparing hydrogen and carbon monoxide by the partial combustion of finely divided solid fuel with oxygen-containing gas using moderator gas. The reactants are separately supplied to an empty reactor through the burner. The solid fuel is passed in a carrier gas centrally (7). The oxygen-containing gas is passed concentrically (6) around and separate from the fuel stream. The moderator gas is passed concentrically (5) around and separate from the oxygen-containing gas.
