The loss-free measuring is intended for detecting the colour spot of a surface or through-dyed specimen. The light radiation, reflected from the examined surface, is completely connected and supplied to a light-sensitive detector. For this purpose, an optically transparent light collector or conductor with high refractive index is used, preferably of massive construction, or filled with a liquid. The collector utilises a total reflection on an optically thinner medium, and collects and bundles all emitted or reflected light beams above the measured specimen surface. Thus the entire collected radiation passes through a relatively small outlet window of the collector etc. The primary light used for measuring, is introduced on a point on which the reflected light impinges with lowest intensity. From there it passes through the collector etc. and is measured on leaving the same.
|
