<p>PURPOSE:To improve productivity by filling electron emissive substances in a hollow body consisting of the substrate metal for electron tube cathodes, performing machining, and securing it to a sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A single or a plurality of holes 2 are perforated in the substrate metal 1. Subsequently, after the composite body 4 where the electron emissive substances 3 are filled in this hole 2 and the cross section decreases into a desired cross-sectional shape by machining, the cathode 5 is created by slicing it. Then the indirectly heated cathode 7 is created by securing it in the sleeve 6. The substrate metal 1 can use all the substrate metals that are used as coated or impregnated oxide.</p> |
