PURPOSE:To effectively cool stator coil cooling water with a high flow velocity by increasing in cooling capacity a heat-exchanger in the vicinity of the warm drain inlet of a storage tank, the heat-exchanger being made larger than the other portions in heat-exchange capacity. CONSTITUTION:A number of heat pipes 3b made by enclosing the condensation liquid with large evaporation latent heat in sealed pipes are used as heat-exchangers. A storage tank 1 is partitioned with a partition plate 17 in two of which stator coil cooling water 8 is stored in one and heat-exchanger cooling water 16 is fed to the other. The pipes 3b are arranged so that the evaporating and condensing portions thereof may contact with cooling water 8 and cooling water 16 respectively and the density thereof may become large in the vicinity of an inlet for the hot drain with a high storage temperature. Thereby, the stator coil cooling water with a comparatively high flow velocity can be cooled efficiently. |
