<p>PURPOSE:To perform the efficient mass production of a composite molded body of a edge-treatment form without using a braid material by a method wherein a substrate, cushion layer and skin layer are laminated sequentially by using a metal mold, while the peripheral edge of the skin layer is projected in extension and folded on to the side of the back surface of the substrate and held thereon. CONSTITUTION:By using metal molds 5 and 6 which form a cavity in accord with the entire form of a substrate 1 when the molds being closed, first a cushion layer 2 is formed through vacuum forming by the metal mold 5 and, the layer being retained on the forming surface, the mold is closed, and a material for forming the substrate is pressed in form a material inlet port 61. Next, the substrate 1 is mounted on the cushion layer 2 and formed, the peripheral edge of the cushion layer 2 being trimmed by a trimming blade 8. The formed bodies 1 and 2 being left on the side of the metal mold 6, the mold is opened. Then, a skin layer 3 is formed through the vacuum forming by the metal mold 5 and, being retained on the forming surface, the mold is closed, the layers 2 and 3 are stuck to each other by an adhesive agent, the extended and projected part 3' of the peripheral edge of the skin layer 3 is folded on to the back-surface side of the substrate 1 and held thereon, and thereby the edge surfaces of outer periphery of the substrate 1 and cushion layer 2 are coated.</p> |
