PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned extruder which can supply compound materials of low bulk density efficiently by arranging in a specified position a pair of parallel supporting screws almost perpendicular to a pair of parallel kneading-extruding screws. CONSTITUTION:The pair of parallel kneading-extruding screws 1a and 1b being rotated in the same direction, a molding material of thermosetting resin or thermoplastic resin is supplied thereto and melted by heating therein. Next, to the position deviated from the center between the axial lines of the given pair of kneading- extruding screws 1a and 1b, a compound material of low bulk density, containing a lot of long fiber substrate material such as asbestos fibers and glass fibers, is pressed in from a pair of supplying screws 2a and 2b having an axial center respectively. The compound material is mixed and kneaded with the synthetic resin and extruded. Since the supplying screws 2a and 2b are positioned near to, and moreover, very closely to the same kneading-extruding screw 1b, the compound material can be effectively compounded. |
