Building brick for construction toy kits which can be attached to and detached from other equal bricks. An adhesive is used for the reciprocal connection. The adhesive used is normally in the form of a contact adhesive applied in layer form (3) to at least one surface which is set back from the outer contours of the building brick. The building brick may include a nap type projection on one of its walls surfaces with a corresponding recess in the opposite wall area which is somewhat larger than the nap type projection and which has a contact adhesive layer.
