<p>The sheet grip mechanism for a processing machine such as a printing press has a shaft with a lever protruding beyond a bearing in an end wall, the lever having a roller end. The lever (13) is fixed to the shaft (3) between the latter's bearing (4) in the end wall (6) and a flexible bridge-piece (7) fixed to the outside of the wall, and also containing a shaft bearing (11). The bridge-piece is adjustable, typically in the direction of the resultant of the forces acting on the shaft.</p>
