PURPOSE:To improve the performance of the material for cutting tools, by, in coating the surface of base material for super hard alloy having double carbide (carbonitride) of Mo, W as hard material with TiN etc., increasing the quantity of (MoxW1-x)2C etc. at a specific depth from the surface of the base material than that at other part. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of base material for super hard alloy parts made by bonding the double carbide (carbonitride) of Mo and W as hard material with transition metals such as Cr, Mo, W, Fe is formed a thin film of a compound of IVa, Va, VIa group transition metals with B, C, N, or O, or a thin film of Al2O3 under the following condition, that is, at the depth 10-200mu from the surface of the base material for the super hard alloy parts, the quantity of (MoxW1-x)2C or (MoxW1-x)2(CN), where 0<x<1, is larger than that at the other part of the base material. |
