A pushchair comprises a chassis CH which is borne upon one or more primary wheels MW on a primary wheelbearing axis, forward and/or rear secondary wheels FSW,RSW that in normal use of the pushchair are not ground engaging and a stabiliser means for reducing or preventing tilting of the pushchair about the primary wheel axis when the pushchair is stationary. The pushchair can be stabilised by lowering the chassis CH relative to the primary wheels MW by a lever LA to cause front secondary wheels FSW to be put on or near the ground. Alternatively, a prop (ST, Figs 3 and 4) mounted to the chassis may be movable by a lever (HL) from a stowed position to an extended position in which it props the chassis against tilting about the primary wheelbearing axis.
