The bar-shaped depth stop (13), guided in eye-shaped formations (10a) of the housing (10), can be more reliably locked in a set position owing to the fact that an eccentric (16) running transversely to its axis is supported over a wide area on the housing between the shaped formations (10a) and acts on the depth stop (13) at certain points. During the axial locking, further securing against displacement is therefore added to the frictional adhesion by an elastic deflection of the depth stop, which brings about asymmetric wedging to a certain extent in its guide bearings. <IMAGE>
