PURPOSE:To obtain the title food and drink suitable to a food for a baby and a sick person, by adding an aqueous solution of sugar to a slurry of pulverized rice grains which are immersed in water, stirring the mixture to form a rice cake under heating, and making the cake a fluid with barley flour under stirring at a low temperature. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. of rice grains are immersed and pulverized in water to form a slurry. A sugar solution obtained by dissolving 30-50pts.wt. of sugar, e.g. granulated sugar or honey into the rest of water corresponding to the difference between 200-300pts.wt. total water and the amount of water used for the immersion of the rice grain is mixed with the slurry and stirred at 80-100 deg.C or below to form a high-viscosity rice cake. 10-20pts.wt. of barley flour is then added to the cake, and the mixture is stirred at a low temperature to give the objective food or drink. The barley flour is prepared by washing a barleycorn with water, by immersing the grain in water, by allowkng the grain which absorbs water in the flat drainer cage 1 with the net 3 at the bottom to stand in the shade for about 36hr, by drying the grain completely in the sun, and by pulverizing the dried grain. |
